Kuala Terengganu half day trip

Continue from the previous Lake Kenyir post, since we arrived early at K.T. and our bus only depart at 9.30pm, we decided to visit some famous place in K.T.

So we approached a taxi driver to ask him took us around and he quoted us RM20 per hour, though we did bargain with him, but ...too bad... he insisted!! :( .... Since we could hardly see much taxi around K.T, no choice but to take his service.

Our 1st stop is Taman Tamadun Islam, where the famous Crystal Mosque was build, and a monument park which featuring 21 great Islamic Monuments that reminisce the rise of Islam into a sophisticated global religion.


The weather is not soo good compare to morning, rain started pouring
This is the Great Mosque of Agadez, Niger, built in the 16th century when the city was at its height.

This 1, The Great Mosque of Qairanwan, Tunisia, built in 670 by Uqba ibn Nafi, the oldest Islamic monument in Tunisia with the oldest dated minater.


The Suleyman Mosque at Turkey, the mosque was built in 1557, during the 46 years reign of Suleyman of the Ottoman Empire. It house infirmaries, a medical school, a hospital, shops, cells and arms-houses.

The Al-Haram Mosque, Mecca, Saudi Arabia. This is the holiest mosque in the world for all Muslim, the Ka'bah. In Arabic, Ka'bah means "a high place with respect and prestige' and Muslims all over the world face the Ka'bah during prayer.


The weather is very unpredictable, sometimes raining sometimes sunny...
This is the Abu Nasr Parsa at Afghanistan. Built in the 17th century in Timurid style, the shrine in this octagonal structure is dedicated to an eminet theologian, Khwaja Abu nasr Parsa who was a spiritual leader of the Naqshbandi order.


The Kubbah As-Sakhrah, Jelussalem.
Built in 692C.E. under the patronage of the Umayyed Caliph Adbul al-Malik ibn Marwan, it enshrines the Sacred Rock and commenmorates the Prophet Mumammad's Ascension to the heavens to visit God.


Needless to tell you what is it....The seven wonder Taj Mahal....

After more than 1 hour spent at the monument, finally we arrived at the Crystal Mosque... why it's called the because of the glass used. you can actually see through inside the mosque

This is the Floating Mosque.... not really floating as it got a bridge connecting it to the land....




Time to have some light refreshemnt.... the taxi uncle drove us to the famous shop for Nasi Dagang....


This is the Nasi Dagang.... rice + a portion of local fish meat.... not too bad the taste....


You barely saw any chinese besides at the China town ...err... i would say is just a street :)... when we were at the bus stop, we are the only chinese, with short pants.....




Another Famous food in K.T .... Roti Bun ... just like other kaya-bun to me .....

In the end the taxi uncle earned RM100 for the whole trip... easy money isn't it... :p ......

This wrapped up the whole trip in K.T ...... the ride back to JB is not good as the bus seat is small..... not able to sleep ...... sianz.... but still..... i got a memorable trip to K.T.... hope to go there again.... with u again :D
